Netflix has ordered a second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder from producer Moonage Pictures (The Gentlemen, The Famous Five).

Based on the YA mystery novels by Holly Jackson, the first season was adapted for the screen by Poppy Cogan. Season two, which will see Pip determined to fix the fallout of solving the Andie Bell case while also searching for a key witness who disappears, will be adapted by Jackson and Cogan together.

Emma Myers (Wednesday, Family Switch) will reprise the lead role of Pip opposite Zain Iqbal as Ravi Singh.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is produced by Moonage Pictures for BBC iPlayer and BBC Three in co-production with Netflix and ZDFneo. Season two will debut on Netflix globally, excluding the U.K. and Ireland, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. It will premiere in the U.K. and Ireland on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.

The series is executive produced by Matthew Read, Simon Crawford Collins and Frith Tiplady for Moonage Pictures; Lucy Richer, Danielle Scott-Haughton and Katherine Bond for the BBC; and Jackson and Cogan.

“I am beyond thrilled that we can continue Pip’s story, and this time, I’m writing on the show,” Jackson said. “We owe everything to the dedicated fans, and I can’t wait to reunite with my AGGGTM family!”

Cogan commented, “I’m delighted to be back in Little Kilton with Pip and friends for season two and to have the opportunity to bring another of Holly’s gripping stories to the screen.”
