Netflix is set to conclude its three-season series Heartstopper with a feature film.

Wash Westmoreland (Still Alice, Colette) will direct the film, and lead actors Kit Connor and Joe Locke will serve as executive producers. Production is slated to begin in summer 2025.

The film will wrap up the story of Nick, Charlie and their friends, with the narrative based around the unreleased sixth volume of Alice Oseman’s graphic novels.

Patrick Walters, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Oseman and Euros Lyn will executive produce alongside Connor and Locke. See-Saw Films will be producing.

“I am completely overjoyed that we will get to tell the end of the Heartstopper story,” Oseman said. “I’m so grateful to everyone who has worked hard to make this possible and to the incredible fans of Heartstopper for your patience and passion. I cannot wait to bring this story to a magical conclusion.”
