Netflix Picks Up New Drama from Writer of The Bridge

LONDON/CANNES: Netflix has secured the exclusive worldwide streaming rights for Marcella, a crime drama that hails from The Bridge writer Hans Rosenfeldt.

The series, produced by Buccaneer Media for ITV, delves into the psychology of a troubled detective investigating a serial murder case. It was filmed in and around London.

Marcella premieres today in the U.K. on ITV and will be available globally, outside of the U.K. and Ireland, on Netflix starting July 1.

The agreement was struck by Cineflix Rights.
