NENT Group Unveils Viaplay Original Limbo

Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) is set to launch the new Swedish Viaplay original Limbo, produced by Warner Bros. ITVP Sweden.

Rakel Wärmländer (Eva & Adam), Louise Peterhoff (The Truth Will Out) and Sofia Helin (The Bridge) star in the six-part drama series, which centers on three women after their respective sons get into a serious car accident. Limbo will premiere exclusively on NENT Group’s Viaplay streaming service in 2022.

Limbo is scripted by Emma Broström (Knocking) and Wärmländer, with Sofia Adrian Jupither (Helt perfekt) directing. The series is currently filming in Stockholm.

NENT Group is to premiere at least 60 Viaplay originals next year.

Wärmländer said: “Every character has their own problems, which the accident either diminishes or makes worse. Our series doesn’t try to paint a pretty picture, simply to show something true. It’s a mixture of the ugly, beautiful, shallow and deep all at once, just like life itself.”
