Lagardère Studios Distribution has acquired the worldwide distribution rights for the NTV series Five Minutes of Silence, marking the first deal between the two companies.

Five Minutes of Silence tells the story of a member of an emergency response team who risks his life to save others, transforming from a spoiled brat to a real hero along the way. Both seasons of the series scored over a 14-percent average viewing share in Russia. The deal for Five Minutes of Silence covers multiple territories and includes both ready-made and format rights.

Timur Weinstein, NTV general producer, said: “The deal manifests a great step into the international markets, and, most importantly, into the French TV space, which has proven to be quite challenging for Russian content. We’re very excited that our hit series is now represented by such a market leader as Lagardère Studios Distribution. We hope this is the beginning of a successful, productive partnership between our two great companies that will open European markets for NTV shows.”
