Kanal D to Launch Turkish Version of House

Red Arrow Studios’ Karga Seven Pictures Turkey is producing a local version of House, the medical drama with Hugh Laurie that ran for eight seasons on FOX in the U.S., for Kanal D.

Titled Hekimoglu, the series stars Timuçin Esen in the lead role of Ateş Hekimoğlu, alongside Okan Yalabık, Ebru Özkan, Kaan Yıldırım, Damla Colbay and Aytaç Şaşmaz. It is written by Banu Kiremitçi Bozkurt and directed by Hülya Gezer, with Karga Seven’s Ömer Özgüner and Ümmü Burhan serving as executive producers.

Universal Television produced the original series of House, which ran from 2004 to 2012 on FOX and was a huge hit internationally.

Ömer Özgüner, CEO of Karga Seven Pictures Turkey, said: “We have wanted to produce a local version of House M.D. for many years, and are delighted that Turkey will finally get its own Dr Gregory House, and that his home will be Kanal D.”
