Topic, the new streaming service rolling out in North America and Canada later this month, has picked up three series from Eccho Rights, including the Swedish drama Honour.

In addition, Topic opted for the Swedish thriller Conspiracy of Silence, also a Viaplay original, and the Finnish-Chilean co-production Invisible Heroes. “We’re thrilled to partner with Eccho Rights and bring their thought-provoking and engaging programming to Topic’s audience,” said Ryan Chanatry, general manager of Topic. “Invisible Heroes, Honour and Conspiracy of Silence are outstanding additions to our slate of international and original drama.”

“We are very happy to start this fruitful collaboration with Topic, bringing quality content from all over the world to the U.S., a territory that is continuously opening up more to international, non-English-language productions,” said Fredrik af Malmborg, managing director of Eccho Rights.

Jennifer Liang is senior director of acquisitions at Topic, operated by First Look Media and targeted at a “curious and engaged audience seeking smart, provocative and meaningful entertainment.” The new platform launches on November 21.
