Halit Ergenç, Berguzar Korel Set for Kanal D Drama

ISTANBUL: Ten years since they last appeared in a TV series together, Turkish power couple Halit Ergenç and Berguzar Korel are set to star in a new drama on Kanal D.

Ergenç and Korel previously co-starred in the hit 1001 Nights. Ergenç went on to play Suleiman the Magnificent in Magnificent Century while Korel was the star of Karadayi; all three have been among Turkey’s biggest drama exports.

O3 Turkey is producing the new series, with production commencing in August. Yagmur and Durul Taylan serve as creative producer and director, respectively. The show is slated for a fall premiere.
