TF1 in France has picked up the psychological drama Deadwater Fell, starring David Tennant (Broadchurch, Doctor Who, Good Omens) and Cush Jumbo (The Good Fight, The Good Wife, Vera).

Deadwater Fell follows the aftermath of when a seemingly perfect and happy family is murdered by someone they know and trust, and the small Scottish community they call home becomes riven with mistrust and suspicion. Produced by Kudos, the miniseries was created and written by Daisy Coulam (Grantchester, Humans).

Endemol Shine International negotiated the deal with TF1.

Sophie Leveaux, artistic director of acquisitions and international drama development at TF1 France, commented, “With its compelling story, strong cast and high production quality, Deadwater Fell will be a great asset to TF1’s programming. This mini-event is perfectly in line with our premium programming policy.”

Mark Lawrence, executive director for EMEA at Endemol Shine International, commented, “We are once again delighted to be working with TF1 on another outstanding drama such as Deadwater Fell. We are sure that French audiences will be riveted by this story and by the amazing performances of this stellar cast.”
