Empire Merchandise Due Out for Holiday Season

NEW YORK: Fashion label Hood by Air has signed up to produce branded merchandise for the hit FOX drama Empire.

The HBA.EMPIRE collection, due out in time for the holidays, will offer products ranging from champagne glasses and key chains to newsprint sweatshirts, dresses, shorts and tops featuring popular images and quotes from the show. Currently in its second season, Empire is produced by Imagine Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products handles licensing rights.

“For me, it’s all about Cookie!,” said Hood by Air founder and creative director Shayne Oliver. “Since the first episode, Wednesday nights have become a tradition for my friends and I. We know every look, scene and catchphrase by heart. When putting this collection together, I wanted to shine a spotlight on the characters we loved (and hated) most as well as the moments immortalized in memes that keep us cracking up all day!”
