The series is headed to air in Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and Central and Eastern Europe. The 10×45-minute Finnish crime drama is set in Lapland and features among its cast Iina Kuustonen (Nurses), Maximilian Brückner (War Horse), Clemens Schick (Casino Royale) and Pihla Viitala (Black Widows).

Arctic Circle is jointly produced by Yellow Film & TV and Bavaria Fiction. Lagardère Studios Distribution handles global distribution, while Bavaria Fiction is in charge of the German sales. The series is available on Elisa’s Nordic TV service in China and streaming service Aitio.

Ani Korpela, head of content at Elisa Viihde, said: “We are delighted that Elisa Viihde’s Arctic Circle has appealed to international buyers. The show, which aired last December and is available from Elisa Viihde’s Aitio program library, has quickly become one of our most popular series. It is great to be involved in exporting this level of high-quality Finnish drama.”
