Doctor Foster Getting French Remake

France’s TF1 has ordered a local version of Doctor Foster, marking the first scripted production for BBC Studios in the region.

The French production base will co-produce the 6×52-minute series for TF1 with Storia Télévision. Filming will begin this month in Biarritz and in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region. The French series will be renamed Infidéle (Unfaithful) and directed by Didier Le Pêcheur.

Doctor Foster is a Drama Republic production written and created by Mike Bartlett. The screenplay will be adapted by Hélène Duchâteau, Baptiste Filleul and Pierre Linhart and French actress/singer Claire Keim (La Soif de Vivre, Insoupçonnable) will take the lead role of Emma Sandrelli.
