BBC One is set to air Death in Paradise’s second feature-length Christmas special later this year.

Filmed in Guadeloupe, the 12th season and the feature-length Christmas episode of Death in Paradise go into production in the spring. Ralf Little, Don Warrington, Elizabeth Bourgine, Tahj Miles, Shantol Jackson and Ginny Holder are returning to the cast, with new guest stars set to join both the new season and special.

The feature-length Christmas episode is written by James Hall, produced by Candida Julian-Jones and directed by Ruth Carney. It will air on BBC One in December. All seasons of Death in Paradise are currently available on BBC iPlayer.

Death in Paradise is a Red Planet Pictures production for BBC One, made with the support of the region of Guadeloupe. Distributed internationally by BBC Studios, it is licensed to more than 230 territories.

Executive producer Tim Key said: “We were overwhelmed with the fantastic response to our first Christmas special and delighted that we’ve been asked to take the viewers back to Saint Marie this Christmas. We can promise something very different this year, but still with all the Death in Paradise fun, sparkle and intrigue that the viewers will expect.”
