Days of Our Lives Moves to Peacock

After 57 years of airing on NBC, Days of Our Lives has found a new home on Peacock.

Beginning September 12, the streamer will be the exclusive place to watch the series. New episodes will debut daily, complementing the availability of the Days of Our Lives library and the Peacock original Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.

Days of Our Lives is NBC’s longest-running series, having aired its 14,000th episode in 2020. The show has garnered 58 Emmy Awards and 372 nominations total, as well as multiple People’s Choice Awards, GLAAD Media Awards and Prism Awards. It is produced by Corday Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television.

The move comes as NBC works on evolving its daytime programming lineup. NBC News Daily, providing reporting and breaking news coverage, will take over the Days of Our Lives midday slot.

“This programming shift benefits both Peacock and NBC and is reflective of our broader strategy to utilize our portfolio to maximize reach and strengthen engagement with viewers,” said Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “With a large percentage of the Days of Our Lives audience already watching digitally, this move enables us to build the show’s loyal fan base on streaming while simultaneously bolstering the network daytime offering with an urgent, live programming opportunity for partners and consumers.”
