Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has clinched a deal to handle the distribution rights to The Miniature Wife, a new series from Media Res for Peacock.

The high-concept one-hour relationship comedy stars Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen, with Zoe Lister-Jones, Sofia Rosinsky, O-T Fagbenle and Sian Clifford as series regulars. Ronny Chieng, Aasif Mandvi, Rong Fu and Tricia Black round out the cast in recurring roles.

“We are really excited to be partnering with the talented team at Media Res and can’t wait to bring The Miniature Wife to audiences around the world,” said Mike Wald, co-president of distribution and networks at SPT. “The Miniature Wife is ‘must have content’. Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen are an undeniable pairing. The humor is both distinctive and smart, and it’s a heck of a lot of fun,”

The Miniature Wife is created by Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner, who serve as showrunners and executive producers.
