Cloudy River to Go Global with Escapade

Escapade Media has taken on the distribution rights for Cloudy River, which shines a light on modern young love, sex and romance.

The 6×8-minute series centers on a pansexual artist and her musician lover, whose open relationship is put to the test when they move in together. Rowan Davie, Rebecca Robertson and Indigo Sparke star.

Cloudy River was produced by unko and founder Belinda Dean, with post-production funding from Screen Australia and Queer Screen. The series was co-written and co-directed by Australian author and scholar Sophie Hardcastle and director Charlie Ford.

Unko’s Dean commented: “Cloudy River is a modern romance about young lovers who are not confined by the traditional paradigms of love. It reflects conversations being had all around the world, and we’re so grateful to have the support of Escapade Media to help us play a part in those internationally.”
