Cineflix Rights Seals Virdee Deals

Cineflix Rights has sealed multiple agreements for the BBC One crime thriller Virdee.

The six-part drama from Magical Society, based on A.A. Dhand’s best-selling novel, has been acquired by CANAL+ (the Netherlands), SVT (Sweden), Filmin (Spain), BritBox (Norway, Finland and Denmark) and BBC Studios for its BBC First and BBC Player platforms across Asia. The show previously sold to SBS Australia and Media4Fun in Poland.

Tom Misselbrook, senior VP of scripted development at Cineflix Rights, said: “Virdee’s high-octane storytelling is proving a real hit with viewers, we’re thrilled to see further momentum for the series with these MIPCOM sales.”
