Apple TV+ Slates Where’s Wanda? Premiere

Apple TV+ has slated the premiere of its first German-language series, Where’s Wanda?, for October 2.

The eight-part series tells the story of a couple who are desperate to locate their missing 17-year-old daughter Wanda, who disappeared months prior without a trace. When the police fail to find her, the parents take matters into their own hands, obtaining surveillance devices with the help of their tech-savvy son and bugging half of their suburb.

After this, they discover that behind closed doors, none of their neighbors are who they pretend to be.

Where’s Wanda? stars Heike Makatsch (Love Actually), Axel Stein (The Vault), Lea Drinda (The Gryphon), Leo Simon, Nikeata Thompson (How to Dad), Palina Rojinski (Welcome to Germany), Kostja Ullmann (My Blind Date With Life) and Harriet Herbig-Matten (Maxton Hall), as well as Devid Striesow (All Quiet on the Western Front), Jasmin Shakeri (The Magic Flute) and Joachim Król (The Most Desired Man).

Produced by UFA Fiction, the series is created, written and executive produced by Oliver Lansley (Flack), alongside Nataly Kudiabor (Arthur’s Law) and Sebastian Werninger (The Physician). It is co-created by Zoltan Spirandelli (Vaya con Dios) and based on a story by Spirandelli. Christian Ditter (How to be Single) and Tobi Baumann (Faking Hitler) directed the series.

The first two episodes of Where’s Wanda? will premiere on October 2. After that, one new episode will debut each Wednesday through November 13.
