ABS-CBN Boards International Series Sellblock

ABS-CBN has boarded the prison-set action drama Sellblock, a co-production of BlackOps Studios Asia (the Philippines), Story Arch Pictures (U.S.) and Agog Film Productions (Hong Kong).

Now in preproduction, Sellblock will have a Filipino lead star from ABS-CBN’s stable of artists. ABS-CBN is working directly with BlackOps and the Philippines-based creative agency Psyops8 for the project.

Sellblock is one of 16 films that is currently being produced by BlackOps Studios Asia, Story Arch Pictures and Agog Film Productions, which formed a co-production partnership at the European Film Market in the Berlin Film Festival this year.

“As one of the leading media and entertainment organizations in the Philippines, creating excellent quality content for global audiences is a top priority for us at ABS-CBN,” said Ruel Bayani, head of international production and co-production at ABS-CBN. “We’ve chosen to partner with BlackOps for their captivating Sellblock series because it has everything we’re looking for—high concept, high drama, high stakes and a high-profile international cast.”
