Cineflix Rights Inks Deals on Trio of Dramas

Cineflix Rights has clinched a raft of international deals on the drama series Manayek, The Minister and So Long, Marianne.

Following premieres in Norway, Canada, Germany and the U.K., So Long, Marianne has been picked up by Česká televise (Czech Republic), ERR (Estonia), HRT (Croatia) and TET (Latvia). This comes on the heels of deals with Movistar Plus+ in Spain and SBS in Australia for the drama, which tells the legendary love story of Canadian singer and poet Leonard Cohen and Marianne Ihlen.

I’m delighted to be announcing these latest deals across Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltics and looking forward to closing further sales at MIPCOM.”

Meanwhile, ARTE picked up seasons two and three of the Israeli thriller Manayek for France and Germany. The story follows a veteran Internal Affairs investigator who stumbles upon a police corruption case where the prime suspect is his best friend.

HBO Nordics and SBS in Australia went for seasons one and two of the Icelandic political saga The Minister, starring Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Trapped, True Detective) as Benedikt Ríkharðsson, the Icelandic Prime Minister whose medical condition threatens the stability of the government and the private lives of the team around him.
