VICE Canada Taps Former Blue Ant Exec Vanessa Case

VICE Media Canada has hired Vanessa Case, previously the executive VP of content at Blue Ant Media, as senior VP and head of studio.

In her new position—which is effective immediately—Case will oversee all VICE Studios productions in Canada, including development, production, financing, sales and licensing. She will also manage VICE’s production and post-production facilities in Toronto.

Throughout her career, Case helped launch and develop a number of brands in Canada, including BBC Earth, HGTV Canada and National Geographic. Before Blue Ant, she worked for such companies as Shaw, CanWest and Alliance Atlantis.

“Vanessa is a well-known, well-regarded executive here in Canada and abroad, so we’re thrilled to have her on board,” said Naveen Prasad, the president of VICE Media Canada. “She will play a key role as VICE Media Canada continues its focus of being a leading, innovative content producer.”
