Tricon to Present Two New IFC Original Comedies

TORONTO: Tricon Films & Television is launching two new original scripted comedies from IFC at MIPCOM: The Birthday Boys and The Spoils of Babylon.

The 10×30-minute The Birthday Boys is executive produced by Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad, Mr. Show) and Ben Stiller (Zoolander). The 6×30-minute The Spoils of Babylon is a scripted comedy based on a fictional famous author, played by Will Ferrell. Also starring in the series are Tobey Maguire, Kristen Wiig and Tim Robbins.

These two join the Tricon catalogue alongside other IFC scripted comedies Maron, Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bunk.
