shomi Opens Up to All of Canada

TORONTO: The streaming service shomi, which is jointly owned by Rogers and Shaw, is now available to anyone with an internet connection in Canada.

The beta testing phase has wrapped for the streaming platform, which offers hundreds of TV series and more than 1,200 movies. As of today, Canadians across the country can subscribe directly to shomi to access the service through their internet provider. The service is accessible on tablet, mobile, online, Xbox 360, Apple TV, Chromecast, as well as set-top boxes for Rogers and Shaw TV subscribers. shomi is also on offer to other cable providers and ISPs.

“Today is an epic day for Canadian entertainment lovers as we deliver on the promise we made to them back in May,” said David Asch, the senior VP and general manager of shomi. “We announced we would be moving in, and today we’ve arrived. shomi is now available to all Canadians.”
