TORONTO: Proper Television is expanding its development team by adding two newly created roles, with Lisa Gabriele being tapped as director of development and Mike Armitage hired as development producer.

Gabriele will report directly to Guy O’Sullivan, the company’s president. A TV veteran and best-selling author, the exec is credited with creating one of Canada’s first reality shows, Moving Stories.

Armitage will report to Gabriele. The producer most recently served as head of production at Antica Productions.

“Moving into our new Toronto headquarters marks a new dawn for Proper, and expanding our development team is a declaration of intent,” said O’Sullivan. “We have a successful roster of original programs under our belt and want to continue to build on that by delivering even more quality originals developed from the ground up. Lisa knows production very well and is a natural idea generator. She has an infectious enthusiasm for cool television and will bring a breath of fresh air to Proper. She and Mike have worked together for years and as a very successful and sought-after development producer, he is someone that I have admired for quite some time.”
