Producer Robin Cass Sets Up New Venture

Robin Cass (Kim’s Convenience, The Republic of Love, The Hanging Garden) has launched Cass & Co, a new Vancouver-based production company.

Cass & Co’s current properties include Waubgeshig Rice’s best-selling novel Moon of the Crusted Snow, a Harold Greenberg Fund-supported one-hour limited series in development, as well as Jefferson Moneo’s Crime Wave, a one-hour drama series co-produced with Robert Munroe (The ExpanseThe Tudors). Additional projects include BossLady, a web series co-created by Cass and starring Measha Brueggergosman; the half-hour comedy Diva, also created by Brueggergosman (who stars in the title role) and Sharon Lewis (Brown Girl Begins). In the factual arena, Dr. Brian Goldman’s The Power of Kindness is the source material for the doc series HumanKind, a co-production with Nomad Films (Political Blind Date).

“I am delighted to have made the move to Vancouver and to announce the launch of my new production company,” said Cass. “Today’s audiences are devouring series like never before and they are hungry for excellent storytelling. The projects I am working with each reflect wonderfully diverse and layered characters and stories, all of which resonated with me and are the perfect addition to Cass & Co’s growing slate.”
