Canada’s W Network Launching Female-Focused Digital Hubs

TORONTO: Corus Entertainment’s W Network is due to launch two new online properties, the lifestyle site W Dish and the short-form digital video site W View.

W Dish will feature clickable lifestyle stories in a mobile-friendly, responsive environment. The site will focus on a target demographic of women 25 to 44, with original stories from the W Dish editorial team, as well as articles from key bloggers, YouTube creators and freelance writers.

Meanwhile, W View will feature video content from across an array of platforms and creators, including Kin Community, a global women’s lifestyle video network that has partnered with Corus in Canada. Built with mobile in mind, the new site is set to allow fans to watch videos wherever and however they like.

“With the launch of these new digital sites, W Dish and W View, we are giving our audiences more ways to experience W Network’s popular brand by offering a rich, curated selection of bite-sized, up-to-the-moment digital content that appeals to women online,” said Sue Mackay, the VP of digital, women and family at Corus Entertainment. “These sites extend our digital reach with the highly coveted women’s demo and allow us to engage with our audiences in different ways and on a variety of platforms.”
