Datsit Sphere Buys Cardinal Producer Sienna Films

Datsit Sphere has acquired the scripted producer Sienna Films, helmed by producers Jennifer Kawaja and Julia Sereny, from Kew Media Group.

Sienna is behind some of the top series produced in Canada of the past few years, including four seasons of Cardinal for Bell Media, Hulu, BBC Four and Canal+, and three seasons of Ransom for Corus and CBS. Coming up is the first season of Trickster for CBC and APTN, an indigenous supernatural-inspired drama series based on the award-winning bestseller Son of a Trickster trilogy by Eden Robinson.

This follows on Datsit Sphere’s acquisition of BGM from Kew just last week.
