Wattpad Aligns with Huayi Brothers Korea

Huayi Brothers Korea has inked a deal to develop Wattpad stories for film, TV and digital media projects.

Wattpad and Huayi Brothers Korea will co-produce content under the development deal, the latest in a string of content alliances for the storytelling platform. Wattpad is working on 20-plus films with iflix in Indonesia and is gearing up for a second season of Light as a Feather, a co-production with AwesomenessTV and Grammnet for Hulu in the U.S. Wattpad also has partnerships with Entertainment One, Sony, SYFY, Universal Cable Productions and Germany’s Bavaria Fiction, among others.

Wattpad is home to some 565 million story uploads. Its Wattpad’s Story DNA Machine Learning technology identifies stand-out offerings that can be developed for film, television or digital media.
