The Inbetweeners Sequel Sold in Australia, New Zealand

LONDON: Aussie outfit Village Roadshow is bringing the sequel to The Inbetweeners Movie down under after closing a deal with Zodiak Rights, the film’s international distributor.

The Inbetweeners Movie 2, which coincidentally is set in Australia, began shooting in December. Zodiak Media company Bwark will produce the second big-screen adaptation of the cult British comedy series.

The first film was released in 2011, grossing more than $90 million at the box office. Village Roadshow also released that movie in Australia and New Zealand.

“We are thrilled to distribute the film and to partner with Village Roadshow, who did an outstanding job on the first movie,” said Anne Feret, the head of theatrical sales for Zodiak Rights.
