StarWorld Teams with Indonesian Ministry of Tourism for Travel Series

HONG KONG: Asian entertainment channel StarWorld has partnered with the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia to produce the travel series Four Girls and a Bucket List.

The series showcases the best of Indonesia’s tourist attractions as it documents the story of four women on a quest to discover the country’s culture and beauty. Four Girls and a Bucket List premiered across Asia exclusively on StarWorld this month.

The four independent women with personalized bucket lists explore Indonesia’s five wonders, including natural attractions such as the country’s marine life and landscapes and sensory experiences like spa treatments and culinary traditions. They also experience its cultural heritage through temples and traditional ceremonies, as well as modern lifestyle choices through shopping and nightlife. The women also explore the country’s adventurous side as they go flyboarding and off-road adventuring.

The cast features model/TV presenter/actress Andrea Fonseka from Malaysia, fashion model/presenter/radio announcer Patricia Gunawan from Indonesia, model/TV presenter/certified health coach/entrepreneur Cara Grogan from Australia, and TV host/singer/actress Aubrey Miles from the Philippines.

Sam Gollestani, executive producer of entertainment at FOX Networks Group Asia, said, “We’re excited to have worked with Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism on a presentation that not only showcases the best of Indonesian culture and attractions but also entertains viewers with an empowering story about fulfillment of personal goals and friendships. StarWorld strives to tell relevant stories through producing original Asia-based shows such as Four Girls and a Bucket List that inspire viewers to travel and go out and experience the world.”
