SNL Korea Returns for a Fifth Season

SEOUL: A fifth season of Saturday Night Live Korea (SNL Korea) recently debuted on CJ E&M's general entertainment channel tvN.

SNL Korea is an adaptation of the long-running American comedy show. The new season, which aims to be more interactive and attract additional female viewers, sees Narsha from K-pop group Brown Eyed Girls joining the cast. The show first began airing in Korea in December 2011.

"What's been so exciting about working on SNL Korea is the process of taking a beloved comedy program and constantly brainstorming and coming up with creative new ways to localize the show to the Korean market," said Ahn Sang-whi, chief producer of the program. "As SNL Korea enters its fifth season, which coincides with the celebration of the show's 40th anniversary in the U.S., we've prepared diverse improvements to entertain and engage viewers even better."
