SMF Launches Media International Advisory Council

The Singapore Media Festival (SMF) announced the launch of its first-ever International Advisory Council (IAC) today, gathering senior execs to discuss the key issues at play in the Asian media sector.

The IAC will be convened in Singapore every year as part of the SMF. It will explore opportunities for the island nation and the broader Southeast Asian media ecosystem.

The IAC is chaired by Singapore’s Minister for Communication and Information, S Iswaran, and includes 11 members appointed by the IMDA for a two-year period. They are Alvin W. Sariaatmadja, president director of Emtek; Bill Holmes, chief business development officer at Netflix; Chase Carey, CEO and executive chairman of the Formula One Group; Chatri Sityodtong, founder chairman and CEO of ONE Championship; Gong Yu, founder and CEO of iQIYI; Janice Lee, managing director of PCCW Media Group; Joe Ravitch, co-founder and partner of the Raine Group; Li Ruigang, chairman and CEO of CMC Capital Group; Robert Gilby, founder and CEO of Blue Hat Ventures; Uday Shankar, president for APAC at The Walt Disney Company and Vivek Couto, executive director of Media Partners Asia.
