Ricky Ow Takes Top Job at Turner Asia-Pac

HONG KONG: Ricky Ow, who stepped down from his post at Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia in August, has been tapped as the new president of Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific, succeeding Steve Marcopoto.

Ow was most recently the executive VP and general manager of SPT Networks Asia, overseeing a bouquet of channels that included the flagship AXN. In his new role, based in Hong Kong and effective January 2014, Ow will lead Turner's extensive operations across the Asia Pacific, including entertainment and kids' networks, digital services, distribution of CNN in the region and all Asia-Pac licensing and merchandising activity,
