Ramez Sheikh Joins Universal Networks International

SINGAPORE: Ramez Sheikh, most recently with The Walt Disney Company, is joining Universal Networks International as its VP of network development and distribution for the Asia-Pacific region.

The appointment is part of UNI’s efforts to accelerate the growth of its channel portfolio—E! Entertainment Television, Style, DIVA Universal, Universal Channel, Syfy, 13th Street Universal and Golf Channel—across the Asia-Pacific region. He reports to Christine Fellowes, managing director for the Asia Pacific at UNI, in the Singapore office. He will focus on expanding the distribution of the portfolio as well as developing new opportunities in key emerging markets.

“Ramez’s extensive regional experience and impressive track record will be integral to expanding UNI’s presence across Asia Pacific’s growth markets," said Fellowes. Sheikh was previously director of affiliate sales and channel distribution at Disney Asia, focusing on Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
