KIX to Air New MMA & Kickboxing Events

HONG KONG: Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE) has locked up the exclusive rights to bring two combat-sports promotions to its KIX sports channel.

Through the deals, KIX will air first-in-Asia runs of IMG Media’s World Series of Fighting, a mixed martial arts promotion. That first match is set to air on the network the night of July 29. KIX will also hold the exclusive pan-regional rights to Total Sports Asia’s Glory World Series, a kickboxing league whose first bout is scheduled to air the night of August 19.

“KIX is the pay-TV ‘Home of Combat’ in Asia and we are excited to add two amazing global promotions to our roster of top combat sports events from around the world,” said Betty Tsui, the VP of programming for KIX and Thrill at Celestial Tiger Entertainment. “We promise our audience action and you can’t get more action than with World Series of Fighting and Glory World Series.”
