SINGAPORE: China's Sohu has licensed 100 hours of factual programming from ITV Studios Global Entertainment, among a slate of new deals for the company with Asian digital platforms.

Titles in the Sohu deal include I Shouldn’t Be Alive and Built From Disaster. In Singapore, MediaCorp's OTT platform Toggle opted for more than 200 hours of entertainment fare, including Hell’s Kitchen USA, Cook Me The Money and May The Best House Win.

KT Mediahub, an IPTV service in Korea, acquired 150-plus hours of drama, entertainment and factual titles, among them Agatha Christie’s Marple, Case Histories and Murdoch Mysteries. Another Korean platform, VOD service Home Choice, took classic films such as All Quiet On The Western Front and Hamlet for a total of 80 hours.

Hyeonza Hong, VP of sales for Asia, noted: “These deals illustrate the demand from the growing number of new media operators in Asia for high-quality content. Given the breadth and depth of our portfolio, which offers everything from hit international entertainment shows and world-class drama to absorbing documentaries and classic films, we are well-placed to meet their needs.”
