SINGAPORE: Vietnamese pay-TV operator HTVC Cable TV System will launch Scripps Networks Interactive's Asian Food Channel to its 700,000-plus subscribers on December 10.

The 24-hour regional food and lifestyle network will be carried exclusively on Television Media Service Company's platform in the basic tier. “The launch in Vietnam builds on our ongoing strategy of regional expansion for AFC and marks the 13th territory where the channel is available," said Derek Chang, the managing director for Asia Pacific at Scripps Networks Interactive. "We look forward to providing food lovers in Vietnam with an avenue to immerse themselves in cuisines from around the region and the world, and working closely with TMS to engage and grow our audiences in Vietnam.”

Vo The Uy Tran, the director of HTV Technology & Media Services Co. Ltd., added, "AFC's ability to provide well-rounded and global views of local cuisine with an international touch will surely appeal to our audiences who enjoy diverse and engaging content. We look to further growing its potential in Vietnam."
