NME 2016 Awards to Live Stream in China

BEIJING/LONDON: IPCN has signed an agreement to live stream this year’s NME Awards in China through LeMusic.

Music fans in China will be able to experience the awards ceremony streaming live for the first time through LeMusic, one of the biggest online video channels in China owned by LeTV. The 2016 NME Awards takes place today at O2 Academy in London. The annual ceremony will include such musical groups as Coldplay and Bring Me the Horizon, and will see Yoko Ono accepting the Inspiration Award. The live broadcast is being produced by Blink TV.

“We’re excited to be taking the iconic NME brand and legendary awards show to China via a major live streaming event for the very first time,” said IPCN’s CEO, Rebecca Yang. “This is the first in a number of exciting music deals IPCN is going to be announcing in the coming months as we push the boundaries in music and entertainment for the Chinese market.”
