Inter Medya’s Formats, Dramas Draw Interest in Asia

Inter Medya’s catalog of drama series and formats, including Mrs. Fazilet and Her Daughters and 1 vs. 10, attracted the attention of buyers at ATF.

The drama Endless Love (Kara Sevda), produced by Ay Yapim, was one of Inter Medya’s highlights. Can Okan, the founder and CEO of Inter Medya, said of the show: “The series has been sold in over 70 countries so far, which is already a great accomplishment, but its popularity increases more and more, attracting a lot of attention from buyers across Asia. We’ve seen great enthusiasm from Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mongolia and India, among others.”

Bi Yapim’s dramedy Hayat (Ask Laftan Anlamaz), which had record-breaking ratings in Afghanistan and Pakistan and became the first Turkish series to ever be sold to Sri Lanka, was also on offer. Additional dramas the company presented at ATF include two brand-new series, Broken Wings (Kanatsiz Kuslar) and Mrs. Fazilet and Her Daughters (Fazilet Hanim ve Kizlari). Respectively produced by Koliba and Avsar Film, the two new series both drew interest from buyers across the Asian continent.

Ahmet Ziyalar, the COO of Inter Medya, commented, “We received a lot of positive feedback from buyers for these titles. [They have] already sold in several countries in Europe as well as in the MENA region, and we are confident that they will also be extremely popular in the rest of the world, including the Asian market.”

The company’s newest formats, 1 vs. 10, produced by BKM, and Money Monster, were also a priority for Inter Medya at the market in Singapore. “In 2018, we will not only associate the name Inter Medya with Turkish series and movies but also with formats, which we believe will be a global success,” Okan added.
