iflix Picks Up Cold Justice & More

iflix is one of a number of streaming services that have signed licensing agreements with Passion Distribution, which has notched up deals on titles such as Cold Justice and Dynamo: Magician Impossible.

A package of factual and drama titles has been licensed for iflix’s Asia-Pacific territories, including Cold Justice, All New Traffic Cops, Unreported World, Churchill’s Secret and The Politician’s Husband. Additional pan-territory deals include Discovery licensing ITV’s Japandemonium, which will air on Discovery Asia across Discovery’s Southeast Asian markets.

In India, Optimystix Entertainment India acquired the license for the format Idiotest and has produced 80 episodes of the series for Star Plus, while streaming service Hotstar featured the second-screen experience of play along for the show. Further, AETN18 picked up Skin Wars: Fresh Paint for FyiTV18 and renewed its license of Dynamo: Magician Impossible. Fox Life India acquired the series Where to I Do and Chilli Hunter, and the documentary How the Rich Get Hitched. An Idiot Abroad was picked up by Zee’s Living Entertainment for its Living Foodz Channel.

TVB in Hong Kong acquired factual-entertainment titles The Class Next Door and Last Days of Pompeii. NHK in Japan picked up a number of documentaries, including Big Ben: Saving the World’s Most Famous Clock. MediaCorp in Singapore acquired the factual-entertainment series Planes Gone Viral and entertainment series Japandemonium.
