HBO India Bolsters Management Team

SINGAPORE: With more than two decades of media experience, Monica Tata has become HBO India’s new managing director, effective immediately.

As managing director, Tata will work out of Mumbai under Jonathan Spink, the CEO of HBO Asia. She will be charged with introducing and developing a variety of initiatives to improve upon the company’s offerings in India and its subcontinent. She will also be expected to provide strategic direction and oversee partner relationships.

Tata previously served as Turner International India’s general manager of entertainment networks for South Asia. In that position she managed all network initiatives throughout the company’s entertainment brand portfolio in the region. Before that she worked for Star Television, Midday Publications and Sunday Mail.

"I am excited to join the HBO Asia family as I love the brand and this is an exciting opportunity for me," said Tata.
