SINGAPORE: Japan's Fuji TV is making its hit dramas available to StarHub TV in Singapore for Internet and cable VOD distribution.

Starting in spring 2015, the Fuji TV dramas Nobunaga Concerto and Dear Sister will be available on-demand through StarHub, which is the country's largest pay-TV operator. StarHub will have full access to all dramas in Fuji TV's library.

Takayuki Hayakawa, general producer for international sales at Fuji TV, said: “With the rapid spread of Internet technology, we’ve become aware of the vast amount of people around the world who enjoy watching dramas via smartphones and other new digital devices. We are excited to work with StarHub to give people in Singapore easy access and enjoy Fuji TV’s quality dramas.”

Lee Soo Hui, the head of the media business unit at StarHub, commented: “We have been working with Fuji TV for many years to put quality Japanese dramas on our linear channel VV Drama. We are happy to extend our fruitful partnership with this long-term agreement which means that StarHub customers will now be among the first in Singapore to enjoy the latest Fuji TV titles. Customers want more control over their viewing habits and we are delivering this viewing experience by offering Fuji TV content on multiple screens and shortening telecast windows.”
