FOX+ Taps MultiChoice Alum as EVP

FOX Networks Group Asia (FNGA) has appointed John Kotsaftis as the executive VP of its digital streaming service and OTT platform FOX+.

In this role, Kotsaftis will oversee the growth and development of FOX+. He will be based in Singapore and report directly to Zubin Gandevia, the president of FOX Networks Group Asia.

Kotsaftis was previously CEO of DStv Digital Media, a division of MultiChoice that oversees the development of emerging platforms and products for the video entertainment company. He also founded the Naspers Group SVOD service Showmax.

“John’s remarkable work in digital media and entertainment makes him ready to help FNGA take on the competition via industry-leading products and platforms,” said Gandevia. “His appointment is a clear demonstration of FNGA’s commitment to the region and our forward-looking digital investments, as we continue to give viewers access to the best and latest content first, whenever and wherever they [want] it.”
