FOX Sports Adds New VP for Asia Market

SINGAPORE: FOX International Channels (FIC) has expanded the management team at FOX Sports, hiring Sam Leadsom as the network’s VP of production.

Leadsom, whose hiring is effective immediately, is based in Singapore. He’ll oversee the channel’s production of all sports content in Asia, including golf, motor racing, tennis and football, among others. The executive’s department also includes teams in charge of content creation and event production.

Leadsom joins FOX Sports from IMG Media in the U.K., where he worked as the executive producer on PLTV, the Premier League’s 24/7 content service. Leadsom’s 20-year sports career also includes past work with BSkyB, the European Tour, UEFA Live Productions and HBS.

“Offering the best content to our viewers and packaging it with best-in-class editorial, presentation and analysis is key to growing the love for sports in Asia,” said Zubin Gandevia, the president of FIC for Asia Pacific and the Middle East. “With Sam’s experience, expertise and passion, this is one more step for FOX Sports in that direction.”
