Disney+ Hotstar Gears Up for Thailand Launch

Disney+ Hotstar will arrive in Thailand at the end of this month, delivering global, regional and local content.

Arriving June 30 in Thailand, the platform will deliver more than 700 films and 14,000 episodes of global, Asian and Thai content. It will be priced at THB799 ($26) for the whole year. Special packages will also be available from telco AIS 5G.

Local content for the platform has been sourced from studios such as GDH 559, Sahamongkolfilm, Kantana Group and One 31, delivering shows including God Bless The Trainees Too! and Extraordinary Siamese Story: Eng and Chang and movies such as Pee Mak, Friend Zone, Brother of the Year, Laddaland and Tom Yum Goong. The upcoming drama series Love and Fortune and My Lucky Star will be delivered at the same time as their broadcast on primetime TV.

Disney+ Hotstar has also entered the Korean content fray, picking up the action film Seobok. It will also deliver Taiwan’s The Silent Forest and the Chinese series The Deer and the Cauldron. Other regional highlights include Parasite, Ip Man 4: The Finale, Shin Godzilla, Let Me Eat Your Pancreas and 24 Japan.
