SINGAPORE: Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific has appointed Elliot Renton to the newly created role of head of sports for Southeast Asia.

In this new position, Renton will be responsible for driving the strategic development and operational management of the company’s sports product portfolio in the region, with an aim to establish hit sports franchises. He will oversee all aspects of Southeast Asia’s sports business, including rights acquisitions, programming and all audience engagement activities.
