Axiata & iflix Expand Strategic Collaboration

Axiata Group Berhad has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding relating to the expansion of its strategic collaboration with iflix to bring entertainment content to the telecom’s customers in six countries.

From two existing partnerships with Celcom in Malaysia and Dialog in Sri Lanka, the regional collaboration is intended to extend to Axiata’s customers at XL in Indonesia, Smart in Cambodia, Robi in Bangaldesh and Ncell in Nepal. Additionally, iflix and Axiata intend to jointly produce content specially created for Axiata’s customers in the markets encompassed in the collaboration. All of Axiata’s more than 125 million customers will be able to access iflix’s service and library of local, regional and Western content utilizing Axiata’s connectivity and technology across the region.
