SINGAPORE: The Singapore Pavilion at ATF, led by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), is offering more than 50 titles and 700 hours of Asian content spanning factual, drama, infotainment, lifestyle, animation and other genres.

Titles presented by the Singapore Pavilion hail from established companies such as One Animation and up-and-coming businesses like IO Creative. Highlighted programs include Take 2, a comedic film about four ex-convicts who attempt to start anew after being released from prison, from J Team Productions and mm2 Entertainment. Another program in the spotlight this year is Big Food from The Moving Visuals Co. and distributed by Ying Group. The series looks at what it takes to make, manage and move large amounts of food. A new title being presented by Singapore-based Sitting in Pictures is the Mandarin web drama K.O., about the world of mixed martial arts, and the romantic telemovie Jimami Tofu, a new title from BananaMana Films.

“It’s great to have ATF and ScreenSingapore return for the third edition of the Singapore Media Festival (SMF),” says Angeline Poh, assistant CEO (Content and Innovation Group) at IMDA. “They are an established market, registering steady growth in attendance, and generating more than $500 million in content sales across the last two editions. As host of the SMF, IMDA sees the festival as a vibrant platform that offers opportunities for everyone in the industry. We hope that the SMF will continue to play a key role in developing a robust creative ecosystem in Singapore and Asia.

“We hope that the festival will continue to be relevant to global industry players who want to partner in Asia, as well as Asian storytellers who want to expand their international footprint,” Poh adds.
