The Asian Academy Creative Awards (AAA) has announced a partnership with Facebook for its virtual Red Carpet this December.

The 90-minute Red Carpet will be streamed live on the AAA’s official Facebook page via Facebook Live on December 4. “We know it has been an especially hard time for the artists so there was no way we wouldn’t have the Red Carpet and this agreement with Facebook is a significant association for the AAA, the celebrities and fans alike,” said Fiona McKay, chief executive of the AAAs.

“We are excited to partner with AAA in their first ever digital version of the awards and bring to Facebook the best performances and content from the awards night,” added Saurabh Doshi, director of entertainment partnerships at Facebook Asia Pacific. “Facebook is excited to bring more opportunities for meaningful fan engagement live from the red carpet via Facebook Live. We wish AAA and the team great success and thank the team for this partnership.”

The Red Carpet stream will be hosted by actress Munah Bagharib. They precede the AAA’s gala ceremonies to honor shows from 16 countries across the region in 40 categories. The national winners that are up for the final awards were announced last week.
