A+E Networks Asia Taps Network Distribution VP

SINGAPORE: A+E Networks Asia has hired Shilpa Jhunjhunwala, a former 21st Century Fox exec, as the company's VP of network distribution.

Jhunjhunwala will work out of Singapore under Prem Kamath, the deputy managing director of A+E Networks Asia. She is charged with overseeing affiliate partnerships, driving network affiliate sales for the company's channels and branded content across various platforms in 16 territories. Kamath will also help manage the overall strategy, planning and negotiations with A+E Networks Asia's distribution partners. In addition, she is expected to build new revenue streams in both the linear and non-linear space.

Prior to this appointment, ​Jhunjhunwala served as the senior director of corporate development for Asia and the Middle East at 21st Century Fox. She was also a part of the corporate development team at ESPN Star Sports. She started her career in consulting and finance across major markets in Asia.
